This has been on my mind for a while, so I thought I'd post this here.

It seems to me that in 8th edition the Dark Angels have been turned into a chapter that favour plasma weapons.

With this in mind I was looking through Chapter Approved and came across the "Build a Land Raider" rules. However I was a little disappointed that the Dark Angles example they provide is not a plasma weapon festooned Land Raider.

So this got me thinking...

1. Rules wise is it even possible to have a plasma weapon festooned Land Raider, I'm thinking twin Plasma Cannon on each side sponson, and twin Plasma Gun on the hull turret.
2. Where would you source the parts to convert the standard Land Raider? I.e. what kit could you take the Plasma Cannons from? I think the twin Plasma Gun conversion is easy, just buy a couple of Plasma Guns and stick them under the Heavy Bolter shroud or am I over simplifying that?

Take the dark vengeance plasma battery and slot them into the same housings as the lascannons, a little work is all that is needed, as for the twin plasma guns to replace the assault cannon/heavy bolter, you can use two hellblaster plasma guns, I've done the same conversion for a repulsor.
