So I'm planning on joining the chaos gods once I get my paycheck, combining Black Legion space marines with Slaanesh daemons. However, I'm not a fan of the Slaanesh official paint scheme and think it would particularly clash with the Black Legion paint scheme. I'm thinking of going for a kind of vampire look, combining pale skintones like rakarth flesh with reikland fleshade and then painting the chitin either a bright red or black.

So a few questions:

1. is rakarth flesh significantly different from just using white, and if so is there a Vallejo equivalent?
2. Same question but for pallid wych flesh
3. What other tips do y'all have for getting a sort of pale, vampiresque skin-tone? And do y'all think it would go better with red or black chitin?

Vampire Skin tones tends to be pale if taken down the classical route, however Vampires do best when hiding in plain sight so usually I wouldn't bother with a paler shade.

Rakarth Flesh is an odd colour...it's like a very light clay colour so not really grey, but not really an earthy colour either, I'm not sure on the Vallejo alternative but we have a 1:1 match on our Pale Grey

Pallid wych flesh is a very light pink tone, We have one even paler called Pale Flesh, it has a very subtle hint of pink in it

In regards to the chitin, Red and Black is pretty fitting if you want to go classical vampire, for more modern day vampires I would go with dark brown and black to go with the whole "Blend in with the Shadows" type look
