So Isee that on GW's website they have the defiler, heldrake, mauler/forge fiends and the chaos rhino listed as new releases. Did they update the models?

No. The packaging has been updated to 8th edition. Thus, new box and stock number. Nothing to see here. /thread.

Probably also new style assembly instructions...

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

They've also done this to aid their new releases by bumping some of the key tie-in releases too. So those models not only got an update to new boxes, but they also got synergies with the recent Chaos release. I figure its just a store limitation that they can only shoehorn them into "new releases" by listing them as such and that its easier to do that than to create another tab "suggested purchases" or some such.

Well they only paid kirby's wife 4 million for a job people in the industry said should be 200-400k tops.

Can't expect miracles.

More likely they’ll just be amended to add the power level/no points data sheets in six languages. That’s typical in reboxings now.

Those are part of that assembly instruction tough. I recently bought a box of ork bikers and it was exactly that - same sprues as ten years ago, new box, new instruction manual with datasheet in the back.
