So as it says above I am Disable and am unable to build mini I can paint them if slowly 3 months for a box of pathfinders. This is all due to a neurological condition but my main question is if I bring a army primary composed of 3d printed mini will tournaments not allow me to enter?

Thanks Already for any Replies

Most tournaments do not allow entrants to use 3d printed miniatures. It's kind of like how movie theaters generally don't let you in to see the new Avengers movie if you have a big bulky video camera on a tripod and your friend is holding a boom mic.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Honestly, probably not. Most tournaments are pretty strict about not allowing proxy models, especially anything associated with Games Workshop.

I suggest reaching out to your local gaming community for assistance. A group of people sitting down for a night or two can assemble a lot of minis. After that, there are techniques for painting, like zenithal spraying, the dip method, washes and drybrushing which can turn out decent paint jobs - not great, but decent - in very little time with almost zero fine motor skills required.

Want to throw out this as well. A gal I know paints and assembles minis with one arm and uses a ton of techniques that has her stuff looking better than most and finished crazy fast.

Admittedly there's probably a distinction between having two arms and very little motor control and having one arm that you've grown very accustomed to using over 12 years of not having the other one, but I'm betting that you'd end up doing at least some of the same stuff.

sprue cutting and assembly are definitely going to be the big kicker for sure though.

Around here if they are clearly 3d printed copies of real models likely not. If they are 3d printed custom design that count as space marine/Whatever then likely yes.

But really depends on the tournament.

I'm a commission painter, and I feel you because my wife is also disabled. I'd be interested in helping you out a bit with assembly and painting for the cost of shipping. PM me if you're interested.

That's faster than many people who argue on forums over rules paint.

I'd be mad if it weren't true. But then again, I just don't like painting.

To the OP: Ask your local tournament organizers about it. Be prepared for a no, but who knows, you might get lucky!

This is what friends are for.
As we've aged one of the guys I wargame with had had his eyesight deteriorate to the point where he had a great deal of difficulties building & painting the 15mm/1:100 WWII stuff he loved to play.
So whenever he'd accumulated a decent amount of new stuff the group would get together earlier than usual on a Sunday afternoon for a BBQ/build/game party. He'd host, cook (we all chipped in for the actual food), & provide the beer + modeling supplies. And we'd whip through his backlog & throw a base coat of paint on. Then afterword we'd game.

Hey man glad you’re here. Idk how big your wallet is but there are companies out there that help collectors build and paint. Hands down the best I have had contact is Den of Imagination.
