I was just wondering how many cars a player controls on average?

Depends a bit on what you want to do for your build, but feels like most of our games have been 2-4.

Obviously, you can do crazy things like build a 50-can single killer car, or go with a boat load of bikes at just a few cans a piece.

I find it's usually best if you are playing 50cans to spread it between two medium cars/trucks, or a main car/truck and a pair of buggies. Sometimes go crazy and field a "larger vehicle" like a heavy truck or monster truck and a single buggy, just because I don't like to field all my cans as one car.

Scotland, but nowhere near my rulebook

What do folks typically use for buggies? Small cars, or actual buggy models? There don't seem to be many matchbox/hotwheels etc. buggies

I tend to use undersized cars, often with rugged-looking tires. Like there is a new car out there that is a souped up VW beetle, with larger tires and big exhausts out the back, which works great for buggies.
