Hail warlords,
I’m trying to make a competitive list and looked at existing winning lists as a guideline and here is what I got so far.
Most of the lists I studied were a brigade of catachan so I broke it down to 2 battalions and get advice from you on my next step is. Bjorn also adds a
cp to help make up the loss.
Instead of a castilline I’m using bjorn and murderfang as they can hide behind the screen without worrying about anti tank guns,
And since my heavy hitters can hide I thought that I should take out the vehicles I can add in some smash leaders.
I’m old school wolf so I don’t want to use jump packs or
twc as they are stupid for space wolves and I want to keep some class.
Looking at smashing I figured arjac is a beast and can boast other wgpl and adding in wulfen stone, saga of the wolfkin and saga of the savage for +4 attack bubble when triggered is pretty insane and the formation stratagems can really help get into combat on arrival. And the wolf priest for mentor stratagem, healing the smash leaders and re roll hits but I’m considering njal or a terminator lord to replace him.
Other than move move move the infantry up the board and using ironhand and priest to boast attacks I’m still learning how the catachan detachment works in competitive soup so any advice or ideas on how to use them is also welcome.
As you may notice my list is not a full 2000 and since I don’t know the optimal competitive usage of catachan is I don’t know what else to put in so advice is needed.
