As the title suggests I'm looking for the rules for a Slaanesh Daemons army.

The problem is that there doesn't seem to be a good way to get these rules.

I'm making a few assumptions:

- The new models don't have rules in the Codex Daemons book
- The current Daemons book now has old (pre chapter approved) points values
- The digital editions of the codex are also out of date points wise

If these assumptions are all correct, I'm struggling to justify buying a book that doesn't include a good proportion of the army, has out of date points costs and is only slightly better than 1/4 relevent to the army I wish to collect.

Do I have this wrong or is this just how it has to be for new Slaanesh players?

Rules are in the boxes for the new stuff pending a 2.0 update, but they released the points after realizing they didn't put the points for the Contorted Epitome in the box.

New model points costs:

You need Codex: Chaos Daemons and Chapter Approved: 2018. You might need Index: Chaos if you want a Herald on a Steed or a Chariot.

As demonstrated, rules/points for new units are in the boxes/on the website.

See the digital Daemons codex or chapter approved 2018 and either the individual NEW models or the WHC website. Then make a printout.

I don’t like the idea of buying a book that’s out of date but I guess that’s how it works these days.

That's why I mentioned getting the digital one; it's updated already. Or at least mostly updated wherein you only need a snapshot of the WHC page (and the models themselves) to play with them.

Unfortunately, this DOES crap on conversions, but...if you wanted to buy the new shinies, you're golden.

@timetowaste85 - Oh right I missed that. So the digital codex is up to date when you buy it? Does it continue to update after purchase?

You have to update it manually (in the iBook store), but yes, it does.
