Hello All,
Here are some of my latest works. A converted Ordo Malleus Inquisitor, two converted Inquisitor Henchmen Warrior Acolytes and an
OOP Inquisitor Henchman Lex Mechanic - Scribe.
The Inquisitor body was an
oop metal Space Marines Chaplain. My least favorite or the chaplain models. A very stiff looking guy with half his face replaced with bionics and the other half with scars. I had him sitting on a shelf bare metal for years. I had been digging through a bunch of bitz and got an idea for him. I found an Inquisitor sword, a Sisters of Battle armored hand holding a book and a very old
oop metal space marine backpack with cape. They all just made sense. Put them together and you have an Inquisitor preaching his way through battle. The smaller hands on the book and sword would work since he is not a Space Marine but a normal human (Inquisitor) in marine armor. And he would hold the sword with his bare hand to be able to feel the power of the weapon while he wielded it. The stiff stance of the chaplain model worked perfectly for the look I wanted him to have. At first I had some reservations about the
oop backpack/cape combo piece because the cape fell straight down and the back of the chaplain model stuck out quite a bit. Making a big gap between the back of the armor and the front of the backpack. It seemed to work out well enough. Painted him in a simple Silver and Red scheme.
The two converted Acolyte Warriors were some old metal models I got out of a bargain bin from a closing store years ago. I am not even sure what game system they originally came from. I think the meltagun guy is from "Warzone" but the plasmagun guy, I have no idea. They just looked cool and I thought they would make good Henchmen. I cut off the original weapons they had and fit some space marine weapons, and Imperial guard accessories to them. And there you have it, two unique looking Inquisitor Warrior Acolyte henchmen. I painted one to look like he had slightly battle worn metal armor and the other to look like fairly new molded plastic armor.
The Lex Mechanic - Scribe model is from the year 2002. It is an
oop metal model. I think it came in a pack of henchmen. But I have slept since then and cannot remember exactly. I made no conversions to him just painted him to match the Inquisitor.
I clear coated all of these models using Testors spray dullcoat. It seems to work best for me even though it only seems to come in a small can.
All of these models are currently up for auction on eBay if anybody is interested in them. Here is the link to the auctions:
