1. I don't think this mini is finished. So wrong forum.
2. I don't fully understand where you are going with this, i can't clearly see on the photo's what the question is about.
3. Did you actually put it on fire?

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

That fist is melted and blackened. That was real fire. Sorry, but it looks "unrealistic" as far as the sci-fi look goes. It melted like plastic melts, not like armor would, tens of thousands of years from now.

Plus, rotate your pics, bro. Tilting my head to try to see what's going on just works against the mini, in my opinion.

I'd have to see it with paint to know. Great object source lighting on that last one, though... if you could just recreate that with a brush.

Don't burn plastic indoors. Heck, don't burn plastic outdoors, it gives off toxic fumes.

Most battle damage can be done with pin vise, jeweler's saw, hobby knife and files. Burnt armor can be done with an appropriate paint job or some green stuff.

I think it looks ok, but then I took a soldering iron to.a battlesuit at one point.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Some points- the reason that we highlight miniatures is to simulate the effect that light has on a larger object. You'll need to edge highlight that burned fist or the shape is hard to read.

The gun damage to the lower leg looks too regular and clean- the armour would show physical stress if hit by projectiles and burn damage if hit by energy weapons.

Notice how the dead templar's armour has cratered with impacts. The outer ceramite shell of the armour is partly ablative, in that its designed to absorb energy damage and deflect or dissipate physical damage. The structure underneath is a supportive structure, wired through with the systems and musculature that power the suit.

In short:
Hard portions should crack
Tough portions should buckle and bend
Wiring and such should be exposed as damage progresses

The bullet hits are too clean and ordered. Have 2 or 3 actually stacked or touching. Also, around the edges of the impact score some lines across the outer edge to show more impact damage. I'd also suggest not drilling so deep, just some light dimples will do the trick.

As for the melted part, it's a decent idea, but in practice it just doesn't really show off what you're going for. Burn damage you'll just have to suck it up and learn how to paint the damage on in a decent way. A good painting technique will show off char and burns or heat stress WAY better than trying to actually burn the mini
