Thanx. I don't have a "made up" craftworld, but rather my clan consists of mostly Saim-hann exiles. They left the craftworld and travel like Corsairs, but still hold close ties with both Saim-hann and Alaitoc as they've also picked up quite a few Alatioc outcasts, Harlequins and Druhkari mercenaries.
They adopt the yellow colors in tribute of the Phoenix, the personal heraldry of Autarch Galef (the center jetbike) who believes the Aeldari race will one day rise from the ashes of the Fall. They have similar ideals to the Ynnari (which is why they are outcast from Saim-hann) but they don't yet trust Yvraine and her Avatar. They suspect She Who Thirsts may have played a hand in creating the Yncarne. So for now they maintain their ties to Saim-hann & Alaitoc and only allies with Ynnari when their trusted Harlequin allies are present.

Nice looking collections, lots of cool conversions.
I understand the difficulty of getting nice army shots, but the video isn’t much better. While it does let you pan and get everything in focus better, it’s hard to get a good look at parts, and the shaky cam effect doesn’t help.
Plus a lot of people are video adverse. The only reason I clicked on it to watch is that I recognize you and your collection from other posts. Without that, I would have just passed on this. And if I had hit this forum while at work on break, I’d have passed as well.
I’ve been a lot better about getting finished models time in the light box for glamor shots once they are painted. I still have a large number of old things that need their chance to shine though. So many models, so little time. And if you just lay them out on the table, while impressive, you can’t see anything in a collection of any size.

I appreciate that you took the time. I agree with most of that. I avoid the battle rep section of this forum for that very reason.
I tend not to have issues getting decent close ups of individual models or small groups. But I almost never do whole army pics because inevitably, something is out of focus.
Plus, this was my first YouTube video, so trying something new.
If I can get a rotating board, I could put my phone on a tripod to stop the shakey cam and get some decent rotating GIFs
man that's some great conversion tinkering!
Lots of variety. I think the bike scheme would have lent itself to the bigger vehicles. I'm a sucker for Yellow/orange schemes though...
Particular like the flaming avatar thing in the back by the foot of the knight. Would like to see that guy close up and work out how you did it. I need to get an avatar together for my army but don't like the avatar sculpt and the FW one is reaaallllyyy expensive so always looking for inspiring ideas.

Grab a spinny thing from the kitchen organization section of your local Target/Walmart/whatever. The kind you put in a cabinet to keep spices or glasses or anything else on really so you don’t need to reach to the back. Should only be a few bucks. Not high precision engineering, and might have some wobble, but it’s not like you are asking a lot from it. Heck, you might be able to find one in the pots/pans/utensil section of your grocery store.
Or you could go to the hardware store and get something more robust, but that seems like overkill unless you are doing this professionally.
Great stuff, I was quite happy to see some of your models I hadn't seen elsewhere, like the Hornets. The top sail really adds to the corsair vibe.
I thought you had a Skathach WK. Am I mistaken or it's just not painted?

As the details of the Skathach WK are so minor (IMO), I just magnetized a weapon swap. The arms in the vid can be swapped for Heavy WC arms, which also have their muzzles magnetize to swap for Deathshroud cannons, like so:

I've been thinking of a similar thing, but I was thinking of using i) a tripod; and ii) some model rail-track to avoid the 'shaky-cam' thing while moving the lens.
I was also gonna mix in some zoom-in close-ups on individual units.
As for photos, the only semi-successful pic I've ever taken of more than one unit of a time used the in-built Panorama function and a tripod. You could take individual shots and stitch them all together in GIMP.
Thanx everyone! I think it's probably time for me to admit that my phone takes better pics/vids than my 10yr old digital camera. Kinda sad about that, but oh well
