This was impressive enough when it was just Nagash himself, but a whole army to that standard? Mindblowing...

I do have to ask how you painted the Palisade - it looks fantastic.

My guess would be airbrush, followed by a white edge highlight, but the same thing could be done entirely by hand. You start with yellow over white basecoat/primer and work your way through the spectrum. The fact that they did multiple runs through the spectrum just makes it look all the more awesome.

Fantastic looking army too.

That's exactly what I did!

Clean white primer (Vallejo Surface Primer through an airbrush).

And then I started working my way through the spectrum from outwards in both directions: Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. I went through ROYGBIV the correct way on one side and the reverse on the other to match the sides together.

I made sure to clean the airbrush several times to ensure clean colors at periodic points, but that was the hardest part of this.

I airbrushed solid colors first, and then went back with white and dusted the top very lightly to get a subtle gradient.

Then I just edged every crease and join with white, adding pings and scratches at random points to simulate imperfections in the surfaces. After everything was finished, I brushed the entire thing a liberal coat of Vallejo Gloss Varnish.

Didn't take too long; I finished the Pallisade in an evening's worth of work (probably like...4 hours, including airbrush cleaning time?)

Yeah, I did something very similar with mine https://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/991072-.html, though I only did the full spectrum once, yours definitely makes me regret not trying several passes. I enjoyed the heck out of painting Malign Sorcery.
