Hi all. Finished this model a few days ago. It was a mostly experimental in playing with glazes and desaturated colors. Often times i like to just "throw paint around" and see what happens, without wortry or care of coloring in the lines so to speak. I was originally inspired by giger with this mini because of the bulbous shape of the mouth, it reminded me of the baby alien punching out of the chest. Naturally i envisioned this model as a sickly pale clear white. Then i was inspired by the xenomorph concept art from alien: covenant. Well that all started out fine until i got to more fantastic details in the sculpt, like the jar and things around his waist. I needed to loosen the noose around the palette as it was starting to look muddy...(it still might) lol....when i affixed the scroll i really had to push the palette further to create more contrast from flesh and paper so i made it significantly more green. The little demon also went the route of pink to keep it from blending with the paper scroll or the floor....the base is to my match a friends army for which this mini is a gift. MOstly a brisk paint in some regards considering this all mostly glazes and texture work.
