I'm working on my final 6th army. So far I have:

Wurzag
Grimgor
goblin warlord
2 goblin shamans
40 n goblin archers
40 n goblin spears
21 regular goblins
1 fanatic (need more)
1 boar boy (need more)
1 squig (need more)
6 bases of snotlings
snotling pump wagon
10 spider riders
10 wolf riders
2 spear chukkas
2 doom divers
rock lobba
1 troll (need more)

Other than the units I need to increase, what orcs are needed? I don't want to go completely crazy on buying them, just around a 5k point army total (think i am close to 2500 at the moment)

Vampire Counts 12,000 pts Tomb Kings 5,000 pts
Skaven 9,500 pts Ogre Kingdoms 7,000 pts
High Elves 8,800 pts
Bretonnia 8,000 pts
Empire 7,500 pts Lizardmen 6,000 pts
Dwarfs 10,000 pts Chaos 18,500 pts
Wood Elves 10,000 pts Dark Elves 7,000 pts
Orcs and Goblins 9,500 pts Dogs of War 5,000 pts.

Is this a NG themed force? No real Orc boyz or Black Orcs?

this is a "i bought a lot and a battle for skull pass so far themed force" haha I got a dark elf and goblin lot from a local sales page and it ended up like this. I found a decent deal on some war machines as well, so I am just trying to figure out a bunch of orcs to get a nice balanced army. I do want a bunch of boars and some units of orcs (black, savage, boyz, or otherwise) and have access to getting the lot of them for ok prices, just trying to build what i need lol

Automatically Appended Next Post:
So I came into another lot today:

Azhag on wyvern
Pump Wagon
13 Savage
9 Boar Boyz
80 Boyz
24 Arrer Boyz
28 Black Orcs
3 Chariot
3 Fanatics
1 Hopper
1 Herder
3 Squigs
1 Shaman

so I would expect to need more fanatics and squigs, but that's about it i think

Damn, man...

Yeah, I'd say you're set for now. Fanatics look to be about the only thing you'll need.

Now here's to getting my OWN budget under control so I can get my White Orcs started.

Pretty excited, the guy showed me that lot, and I was like nice, can you make me a decent orc lot for this price?
Gave everything besides a converted warlord on a wyvern that he wanted to keep for it.
Not a bad army (including the first lot) for around 380 usd. adds up to 6300 points after i add some fanatics and squigs to the pile

It does make the Orcs and Goblins the same size as most of my other armies. We play at 3200 points all the time, so I like to have a few choices.
I am planning on at least three more trolls, since they come in boxes of three. Spider isn't in 6th unfortunately, i do love the model though haha. I have an old metal giant spider as well.

Best Orc Wyvern going around. It is somewhat big, but rule of cool applies, for an army of this size a great centrepiece miniature is not inappropriate. This model can fit on a 50x50 with creative modelling, there will be some overhang you can accompany by perching the model on a suitable rock. A 75x75 fits the model. Wingspan is similar to that of a dragon, but its paced better and not squeezed for a small base. Mierce do excellent sculpt quality
Yes this IS expensive at £90, but this model just gorgeous and worth every penny, you copuld wait for one of Mierce's frequent sales to knock about 30% off the price (I did) besides if you ask Mierce will allow you to buy extra riders for the cost of an infantry model each.

In the images below it is all the same wyvern so the riders are totally interchangable and do not need to be glued due to the wooden saddle, which is best described as a 'wooden anvil' or edge laid wide plank the riders straddle.

It looks awesome as an image file, it's even better in the real.

Finally on a mundane level the Getting Started Greenskinz box is a good buy.

You get moar orcs, you might actually need them because it looks to me like you might have a lot of the 6th edition coreset monopose orcs. If so a set or two will add weapon options to convert some to choppa and shield. The boxset is worth it for the boar boyz which are otherwise hard to get and the chariot. You also get the old orc general ,it containing two orc characters including a BSB if you need one and an extra big boar.

Tip, new boars are better boars:

Just FYI, that start collecting set is OOP now. They removed it when the gloomspite gitz got their battletome. Probably still easy enough to source elsewhere, but thought I'd mentioned it as they did get rid of it quietly with no announcement or last chance to buy until after it had been pulled.

Is the Idol for 6th, if so is it a rare troop? The regular orcs I just lumped together, but they're a variety lots of choppa shield, etc. not a ton of monopose (not a fan of painting that many monos lol)
I do have ten boars now, and four chariots. only thing i really want from that box is the bsb, maybe later on i will source one.
That wyvern is pretty sweet. about the size of the high elf dragon wingspan?

Thank you for the tip. GW have an annoying habit of doing this. They removed the Killzone boxsets while I was halfway through funding to buy a building a boardload of them scuppering my plans.
Thankfully I have a Greenskinz boxset which I bought earlier this year. I only needed the one to top up my army. Had I delayed this I would have been blindsided by the change and out some orcs needed to complete my army.

Age of Stigma has many whacky armies, and while there is an imagination to them, i don't like most of the new stuff. Meanwhile we lose basic army function like basic orcs. How can we have high fantasy without core generics like orcs and humans (Sigmarines dont count as normal humans).

I think its for 8th in so much as it was added as a Forgeworld .pdf during 7th or 8th, but the rules cover for anything post 5th. Its for 'Warthammer' and Forgeworld don't specify beyond that. Some Forgewoold .pdf based units have rules that clearly fit one version of the rules or other, but the Idol of Gork is generic enough it can fit into several editions.

You shouldn't have problems adding it to legacy play as its an official rules add on that you can apply.

It was definitely a rare choice.

I do love the model, and the rules are cool, but i don't know what could kill it. That's the biggest issue for me, i like the games to be fairish lol. That thing could stomp 3/4 of an army by itself. I'll definitely think about it

A fair point and I salute any self restraint for sake of fairness. However if your opponent decides to branch out into chaos and wants to take a Greater Daemon, yes a rock golem will be useful in helping you not say 'no'. Even if its for occasional use to be fair or for larger lists it is a good buy for the cost. I do recommend the model cheap and effective.
The crystals work in lurid green and the simian pose either double knuckle dragging, or one or more arms raised to squish fits well. Mantic are very hit or miss with their kits, this one is a definite hit. The model has presence and yet is not oversized.
Tip: Take a black orc shield, cut it up and use it as an iron gob for your golem, it fits with minimal filing and makes the model extra orcy.

I said final army as I have them all now lol. I ended up finishing the orc army to give it a grand total of 7500 points. I think I am ok with that lol.

Thanks for the suggestions. I may add an idol just for looks and shelf presence lol

Along with the lot, I bought a box of the new squigs and hoppers, a bunch of herders, and a bunch of fanatics. I have enough fanatics to run 3 per unit lol

If you deploy anything need 7500pts you will need the Idol of Gork.

Now that is a collection, and like most collections probably character top heavy, but you could probably field 4k+ legal lists and at that scale large monsters are very appropriate. Armies over 3000pt can expect to include top end stuff, a greater daemon, two steam tanks, double Dragon, special characters, multiple combat lords... lots of stuff to face. A big green rok monster is your top end unit, and the lore gave you several ways to take one over the history of the game, so it is not in any way inappropriate to field this.

I would stop if I were you. That is more than enough.

My O&G army is the following

Plastics:
1x Getting started Greenskinz
1x General box
3x boxes of boar boyz
3x 6th edition starter set orcs
1x Skull Pass gobbos & troll
1x box of Spider riders
1x Arachnarok
1x fanatics box
2x boxes of orcs
3x boxes of black orcs
1x goblin shaman
4x boxes of goblins
bitz order of savage orc boars (for chariot boar swaps)
1x Ironjaws megaboss model (on 50x50 base)
1x Ironjaws Ironskull bopyz (for characters and unit fillers)
1x Ironjaws Warchanter (deplated & toned down, fits a 25x25 normally)
assorted loose boyz and bitz (about 20 orcs total but a lot of shields) from swaps over time.

Finecast
3x Spear chukkas box
Forgeworld orc character set (BSB and Warboss)
10x squig hoppers
2x Mangler squigs

Metal
Orc wyvern
Orc shaman
Rok lobber & crew
15 old orc boar boyz (retired)

40K
1x Gretchin box [Recommended: converted runtherd to a shaman, several converted grots became variant war machine crew, whip arm used for chariot conversion, the squig added to orc unit champion as pet, rest of parts returned to 40k]
approx 1x box orks leftover [blended in bit by bit]

Non GW
Mantic: Idol of Gork
Mantic: 6 trolls
Mierce: Orc Wyvern

Now the squig hoppers, manglers and night goblins of all types were removed from the above to make my only AoS army. night goblins are fun burt dont really fit in with anything else. I dont take AoS as 'seriously' so it was natural to channel all these excess models into an AoS army. I bought the finecast squigs for this when I made the army two years back. Moonclan was considerd a power list at the time also.

The Arachnarok and 20 spider riders were also set aside as not fitting the army theme, but can be returned (if assembled!), sold or ported into AoS.

My army is a 4k common orc and goblin tribe with a single elite of black orcs. No wierd stuff in the list, this is an army of menace, not an army of whimsy.
