Planning ahead for a new modelling project, based around the residents/defenders of an independent spaceport on a frontier world. The main idea for the force is to be highly mechanised via air, as each squad/team will essentially be using their lander vehicle as an impromptu transport (Valkyrie counts-as).

Never built an IG list before, so I've pretty much thrown together as many squads as I can fit in valks plus a bit of extra support. I'm pretty happy with how it looks on paper, just wanting to know if there's anything I'm overlooking or missing. The Custodes captains are mostly for the opportunity to model 40k pod racers as well as providing a strong anti-horde option. The two plasma scion squads go in one valk with a prime, the bigger lasgun squad goes in another with the other prime and psyker, and the third carries the two flamer squads for suicide chaff clearing. Infantry platoons are for foot slogging/screening/objective holding while the warlord hangs back and tries to recoup as many CP as possible. One each of the BRRRT and tank buster gunships for their specific target hunting and the sentinels for extra mobile turret support.

Tallarn makes fluff sense as I'm picturing the world as largely desert; but if the flyers don't proc their Regimental Doctrine VEHICLE bonus I might swap it for something else. Anyway, here's the list, please point out any dumb mistakes I'm making along the way.or other options that catch your eye. My "local meta" is me and a couple other blokes who mostly play for modelling & beer drinking opportunities, but are a decent mix of MEQ/horde/flyer-heavy lists.

Hey, i would switch the Armoured Sentinels for Scout Sentinels, the movement is much more important then toughness.

Another changes i would do:

switch the special weapon squad to the first battalion and make the second battalion to an Tempestus drop force and put 1-2 Valkyres in this detachment.
Also switch the Vendetta and Vulture to battalion 1.

Maybe give the 10 man scions squad 4 plasma (for each 5 you can add 2 plasma) and play the other 2 scions squads without or make the 4 plasma as tempestus command squad.
