Is this for itc? I like all these units, but the lists seems to skew towards gunny answers, and misses out on board control. It looks like you'll be DS'ing some of the rangers turn 2, otherwise you have no units that can contest the board. But of course, turn 2 is leaving it a bit late, and makes you easy to screen out. Scouts, nurglings, GS, move move move, bikes etc are all gone leave you with no way to deploy near the objectives you'l need to win the game. I'd reconsider going in for 9 Weavers, and I'm not sure 3 msu reapers are that useful - they hinge upon fire and fade for survivability, and you can only trigger that on one squad.

Just my 2 cents, I'm fairly new to CWE myself.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
What would be the answer, for example, against a TS list with lots of tzaangor? How are you gonna screen out the Zerg, specially seeing how you've gone for units that don't fly, and thus will be shut down? Rangers make expensive and short-lived screens.

I like it but as has been stated before it lacks gun control! what's your plan about it?

Not sure-I've never played Eldar, or honestly, any shooting heavy army.

Personally i'll go with some bike units. they are fast in picking up objs.
Plus think of the combos you can field with our Farseers and warlocks

I like it, but there are some tweaks I'd make. I personally don't like Maugan Ra or Illic, but I guess they fit ok.

I also don't like the 3-man Reaper units. You should have 5-man units with Tempest Launcher Exarch.
You could combine the 3x3 into 2x5 (adding 1 more Reaper) and drop 1 Shadow Weaver for the points. I'd also move all the Shadow weavers into the Spearhead to maintain the minimum slots needed.

Aside from that, the list looks good, but I think it may suffer against horde-heavy lists due to the majority of your dakka coming from d6 shot platforms, which can be unreliable

Well, Rangers are good for occupying objectives.
But 6 units is a bit much. It takes (part of) the sting out of your army.
I think its not shooty enough to survive the assault of a fast moving army and then you're screwed.

To be fair though, if the goal is to squeeze in 2 Battalions, Rangers are the only viable option, with maybe, MAYBE Dire Avengers also being viable.

Guardians are too expensive because you want a big unit of them, Stormies are, well, Stormies and DAs are fairly squishy compared to Rangers
Rangers are the only Troop that can be effective on their own, durable for what they are and en mass can actually effect the Battle but removing Support characters (or at the very least making them have to hide and be in awkward positioning)
Rangers are also decent in a pinch to strip MWs onto bigger targets.

But otherwise I agree. To make 6 units of Rangers work (and validate having 2 Battalions) you really need the right support. Tons of Shadow weavers and Fire Prisms isn't a bad start there.

I agree

I couldn't stress this enough: DON'T USE STORM GUARDIAN UNLESS YOU HAVE A PLAN.

A good plan a sound plan a Cegorath level of cunning plan
