Interesting - good to see its not the usual suspects even if its only another Marine Chapter.

Okay. Personally, I find many of the Badab set (Carcharadons, Claws, Mantis, etc. Do Red Scorpions have rules yet?) way more iconic than these dudes, but I think it's definitely a reasonable move, since there's a lot of material to draw from and presumably a decent fanbase.

PS. Are chainswords really supposed to be like >1' thick?

I'd love to see them tackle the Carcharodons Astra at some point. Rules for Wandering Ancestor Itako and Te Kahurangi please.

Well it looks like I picked the perfect time to paint some Blood Ravens Intercessors. Had 3 just sitting around and decided to paint them BRs. I wonder if GW will have decals for them?

Expect FW writers to forget Angelos is Blood Raven chapter master and to never give him update so he can actually be taken in BR army, Azkaellon 2.0 if you will

You mean literally whos with zero anything to their name except Badab War IA book, with them being so "iconic" FW didn't even bother to port them properly to 8th?

And I say it as someone who played Tyrant's Legion for half a decade, yo!

Yep, chapter that appeared in 10+ games, dozens of novels, comics, and fanfilms, more lore to their name than half of the 20 SM Legions got, literally the only SM chapter millions of people could name, is most certainly not 'iconic'. That should be reserved for the likes of Star Phantoms and Marines Errant, eh?

To me, that's the big question. Like a lot of people, I've toyed with doing Ravens since DOW1, but the lack of decals or shoulderpads put me off of it.

You know, I actually misread this as Blood Angels.
I guess DoW is canon now. Chaos Sorcerers of Khorne are now a thing.

I'm pretty sure that's just one poster taking the piss. That doesn't sound like a real rule.

There are "Crimson Crows" decals and shoulder pads available from Chapter Customizer.

I am half way through a Blood Raven Bjonn the fell handed project at the moment so this is good timing. I might use some of the 25 years worth of unbuilt marines lying around my toy room to make a small force.

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis

While I'm not super excited for this, I kind-of like the idea. Rules for a chapter made from the geneseed of loyalist Thousand Sons. I hope their sergeants have some kind of psychic powers (even if they aren't too powerful). Also would be fitting for them to get one free relic, another one for +1 CP, or two more relics for +2 CP.

Blood ravens are the most well known space marines chapter by a wide margin. It's hard to concieve of outside of the hobby, but literally millions of people could name drop Gabriel angelos but have no idea what an Ultramarine is.

Khorne worshiping Sorcerers have been a thing in the fluff for a long time, they just can never receive the Mark of Khorne. Remember that fluffwise, Marks are given to those who have proved themselves worthy, not just handed out willy-nilly to everyone who pays lip service like the game version of Marks seems to suggest. The vast majority of Chaos worshipers never earn a Mark of Chaos, regardless of which god they worship.
