Hey all,

I wanted to try and mix some of my favorite and strong units from both CSM and DG while also adding in Morty. I plan on using this next weekend for an ITC event as an experiment to see how it works out. Just wanted to post to see people’s thoughts and I will also we posting the results. As always thanks!

As far as notes and tactics go they are pretty straight forward. Cultists will camp objectives and crawlers will hold mid or objectives as well. Morty will swap power for Warptime first turn and try to jump in. The idea behind the list is putting a ton of pressure on them with Morty which will leave the Disco lords free to run amuck. Overall a very tanking list.

One alternative I was thinking about is dropping the blightlords(which are there for back field board control) in favor of a third Discolord and bringing some CSM termies or swapping the cultists for poxwalkers(changing the spearhead to a battalion) and adding another cheap HQ.

I like the theme of the list a lot, it's full of tough units to shift. The only thing I'm not sure about is running the LDs as flawless host. They're just an easier target for long range anti tank than the PBC or morty. So people will either focus down on morty or them and leave your PBC alone. I think anytime you're forcing people to shoot your pbc you're winning.

I'd suggest running them as Alpha legion, a little less aggressive but -1 to hit for most shooting attacks is pretty tasty in this style of list.

As for blightlords versus normal termies i think they fill different roles. You could take slanesh combi plasma or combi melta for similar prices. Double shooting even 5 of them with VotLW will pop most things. But your blightlords will hang round forever. I'd choose combi plasma csm termies but there's strengths with both.

I dropped the blightlords and added a third Disco Lord and some havocs. I just feel like if I’m running Alpha legion I have to use their stratagem and I feel that havocs are a great use.

Yeah I think that is looking good. If you manage to get those havocs up there with forward operatives and 6" move they can now threaten 39", clear some screen for morty and LDs to get stuck in.

I'd give your LDs mark of nurgle to get rerolls from you daemon prince. But otherwise looking solid.
