How do?
Yes, it’s another shameless plug for my Facebook Group.
See, I’ve just been to Worthing in Sussex, and bought £1,500+ of very hard to come by models. Specifically, those reserved for Store relocations and brand new ‘foundings’.
That’s the Terminator Captain, Terminator Chaplain, Leena Stormspire and Berek The Indomitable.
How hard to come by? Go check eBay. Right now. Go on.
Yeah. that hard to come by. You can tell by the price.
But through the group I founded (and am immensely proud of), you have a chance to get them at retail, plus PayPal fees and P&P.
See, Looting is all about getting the goodies to the good. And not charging any kind of premium. This is but one of many Lootin’ opportunities I’ve exploited as an individual. Why? Nobody likes a scalper. They’re an absolute plague, and simply awful.
Within the group, those requesting loot are free to tip. Of course they are. But for those doing the Lootin’? No asking for a tip. Because that’s just Scalping by any other name. For those, as I did today, making a Loot specific trip, travel costs can be made public. But like tips, contributions are strictly optional.
I’ve been running the group for a couple of years now, and it’s all going swimmingly. Only had a couple (literally no more) of deals go tits up. And that’s a testament to us as a collective of Hobbyists.
So, if this sounds like your bag, either as a Looter or Lootee, see my sit for a link.
And if (entirely understandably) your social media platform adverse? You can do this on the small scale. For instance, the Modquisition, entirely reasonably and rationally, don’t allow me to do a Loot thread here on Dakka. After all, they don’t know me from Adam, and only have my word that I’m not a rip off merchant.
But if you’ve got coin to spare, and the opportunity, you can do this for yourself. Buy the model, post in the relevant trading forum, and pass it on At Cost.
Because the ‘warm and fuzzies’ of getting goodies to the good is frankly priceless.

Is the new female commissar (Severina Reine? Something like that) a regularly available item or would I need to buy one through you guys?

I honestly don’t know!
If she’s on The Website, she’s not for Looting.
Otherwise? Eff knows when we might be able to Loot that specific model.

For the sig-restricted:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1710575492567307/?ref=bookmarks
There were a few left of Severina Raine at WHW when I went last month.
If I had had the available budget:
1. I post a FB thread that I'm going to visit WHW,
2. You post a message saying to look out for 'Restricted-access item'.
3. Payment and postage happens.
4. No Profit!

Casual loot related question - how are the brass objectives? They appear to be turning up at a good few events this year and I'm mighty tempted by metal over plastic/card.

Erm....good question!
I got the Warhammer Day ones, which are ‘same thing, different design’.
They’ve got a decent heft to them, so unlikely to be moved off their spot in most situations. And they’re very, very pretty!

Yeah the heft to them is one big thing - its like how whilst it costs more, I like the metal AoS movement widget over getting a plastic one. Plus it just feels more special and worth owning whilst a plastic one is just a purely utilitarian item.
Got any idea of those counters are going to keep turning up? GW hasn't really been clear and I was surprised to see them appearing at the Warcry release event as I figured they were a one time thing, unless its that they overstocked and are jsut clearing excess this time.

I don’t, but one of the Admins knows A Man....I’ll see what we can collectively sniff out.
Also, I think one of the Admins (possibly the same one) will be attending, so may be able to Loot a set for you?

I'm still sort of on the fence because Warcry is going to take a large chunk of hobby money whilst next months budget is sort of being distracted by https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/777993.page
Though I can at least pull out of that if I want because it will go on general sale later, but I likely won't make that final choice until the last days of pledging

Severina Raine is NOT an event limited or limited release model. Like Eisenhorn the year before, she is a general direct only release.

I should have left a bigger gap in that post.
That model is not yet a LE model.
