This came up unresolved in the eldar tactica thread so I thought I'd ask here.

Eldar superheavy tanks like the scorpion and cobra get D-Fields that provide a variable invuln based on distance moved. If we cloudstrike them, do they count as having made their maximum move for D-Field purposes? D-Field provides a 6++ on a 1" move and a 5++ on a 9" move so it would make a huge difference.

My best guess is that your unit counts as having Moved, but the distance Moved is 0.0". You didn't actually move your model from one point on the playfield to the other, so you can't really say you Moved any distance.

In faq19 fix the reinforcement rule: units that came on the field from outside, count as moved for the entire movement; units with a min-max movement caracteristic count as moved for the Min amount. Units that "blink" (teleport/re-deploy)...count as moved for the amount moved before Blink: of they assault before Blink count as they have assaulted.

This doesn't apply to units that arrive onto the battlefield from off the battlefield, only "units that are removed from the battlefield after deployment (via abilities, Stratagems or psychic powers), and are then set back up again on the battlefield". Thus, this Special Snowflake FAQ does not apply to the Cloudstrike stratagem.
