GW is adopting the same FAQ policy for Middle-earth as they have for Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar with a twice a year rules update (in February and August) and then a FAQ two weeks after a new book drops.

The updated FAQs can be found HERE and an article covering some of the changes can be found on Warhammer Community.

Thanks - Good to see they are committed to keeping the rules up-to-date, and supporting competitive play by making balancing tweaks.

Good update on Gamling and the demolition teams. I hate when people try to game the system with things like that.

Only issue is now demolition team can't be used to blow up aragorn/troll/whatever if he has no friends nearby.

He's got bigger problems if he's out on his own like that. He's going to get himself squashed quite easily if he gets trapped.

Aragorn isn"t in quick danger. Infact going there solo surrounded or not is lot safer than facing bomb.

Aragorn can deal with couple dozen uruk solo if isengard is crazy enough to try to swarm him. Been there done that.

He got lucky on his roles then. The minute he failed that six he's usually down in a couple of rounds when i get him trapped.

He's safe for a while(3 turns) rolling 4's as well. 5 is automatic win also. 3's is getting icky but you need to roll 1's and 2's only to really go ahead and even that you can survive once.

Beats odds of surviving bomb. Do you want to rather take that than bunch of orcs? Especially as you can help him get out faster without exposing yourself to bomb with rest of models.

The clarification about magic and horses amuses me. We've been playing it that way for years and seeing some people lose it over it is quite amusing.

Well seeing there's less than handful spells that it matters with it's easy rule to miss.

It also means horses etc become pretty pointless in competive game

Gathering the Informations.

Rangers of Ithilien Legendary Legion change is straight garbage.

Faramir's already mandatory.
Now there's another 3 mandatory characters in the form of Sam, Frodo, and Smeagol.

Least they could do as compensation is mail every single person who bought all the named Gondorian Rangers a set of the "Captured by Gondor" Sam, Frodo, and Smeagol variants. Because that's the only way I'd field those stinkin' Hobbitses.
