Hail Warlords.

I would like some advice on this list.

The plan is:
Conscripts screen supported by the priest platoon officer with relic pistol and thier psycher protects them. Attempt to do the move move move order alot.
The guardsmen sit objectives with the officer.
I have considered the Emperors conclave for a more fighty screen.

Jarl Ragnar and the stalker pack units take the drop pod for an alpha strike, forcing them to play defensive or leave gaps open for me to exploit. The stalker pack is also for deleting a unit like a knight using the 3d6 stratagem to help with alpha strike and the +1 to wound stratagem.

The rest bubble around the rune priest for protection, ready to counter attack or heroically intervene in case of the characters.

Which units do you plan to put into the drop pod for the "alpha strike"? You only have 1 Drop Pod and Matched Play reinforcement rules prevent them from coming into play on round 1, so I am a bit confused.

I would be afraid of losing that 5 man Hellblaster unit to shooting before it can do anything, I'd recommend keeping them safe with that Space Wolf strat that lets a unit come in as reinforcements later from the side of the board.

I'm not sure you need a Ministorum Priest with so few Guardsmen, especially since they are not Catachan Guardsmen. Also, I would just take another Company Commander instead of the Platoon Commander, the extra wound is worth it enough especially if he will be carrying that relic.

Neat idea to build around the Stalker Pack though, it is a cool Specialist Detachment. Since characters are pretty safe from shooting you might want a few Stalker Pack characters on the battlefield, with an expensive non-character melee unit held back in a drop pod. The characters can use Jump Packs or normal movement to get an easy charge, and then you can use the 3d6 charge strat on the guys dropping in.

thank you very much for your response

Jarl Ragnar, wgbl and Blood claws in the pod. By alpha strike I mean it charges the turn they arrive which could be turn 2 or I some times wait until the enemy leaves an opening and spreads out.

Yeah I think outflanking the hellblaster is best if I cannot hide them from enemy in deployment.

I thought the min priest would make the 30 conscripts more of a threat in melee especially if I can get them to fight twice but of course their main purpose is a fearless screen.

Yeah I like stalker packs as well, especially from a drop pod with ragnar fir a 3d6 charge and re roll charge range. Also I am an old wolf and think wolves should fight with their feet on the ground as Russ intended. But I also want to as competitive as possible. With the new shock assault rule melee wolves have gotten so much better
