Are these an annual release? The one I’ve got is in an orange box with a Nomad Sin-Eater, my friend has just bought the 2015 pack off EBay.

Given that we’re not taking part in any official events, what are the differences between each year’s decks, and the charts in the rulebook? If they’re minor we’ll just carry on using our own decks.

The current classifieds have changed.
They used to be 10 classified missions, with 4 of each mission, but increasing points. The rulebook charts were like this.

The current one is divided into 2 20 card sets (easy and hard modes). You no longer have 4 of each mission, they are 20 separate classifieds. You still draw 2 (discard 1) per classified, but unlike the old set, you cannot draw multiples of the same mission with this set.

There's also a download for something similar on the Captain Spud is amazing site. 2 20 card decks, green and red. Same missions as the official deck. The point values (if you trade the mission card for its value for additional points to claim quadrants) on the missions are the same, too. About all they don't have is the fancy art.

Points values. The only number on these cards is the card number, 1-40, and the rules don’t mention anything about using them for controlling areas.

The points values are part of the "intelcom" rules for ITS tournament play.
As laid out in the current (Season XI) ITS document.

INTELCOM CARD
As stated in some scenarios would be specified the possibility of
renouncing the Objective Classified, to use it as INTELCOM Card (Support and Control or Interference).
Before the beginning of the game, but after choosing the Classified Objective, each player must decide if that card will be his Classified Objective or his INTELCOM Card, announcing his decision to his adversary.
Each player rolls a die and the one who gets the highest score must make their decision first and inform their adversary. The content of the card, whether the mission, the card numeric value or symbol, is considered private Information, no matter which use the player has chosen for it.
At the end of the game, when the players count up their points, and following the order established by the Initiative, the player can use his INTELCOM Card.

The numeric value is the number on that card. It adds to your scoring troops total for that quadrant if you use it for this purpose.

The old cards looked like this:

With a 1-40 numbering. There were 10 separate missions, but 4 of each, with consecutive numbering (1-4 were the same mission, 5-8 were another mission, etc).

The current set, look like this:

2 20 card sets. 20 separate missions in each deck, 1 of each. The numbering goes 1-20 in each, with no duplicate missions. The RED ones have harder conditions to fulfil than the green ones, and are the "extreme" mode version.
