Color me amazed but I was browsing steam this past weekend and bumped into a surprise. This game has been updated to work more properly with steam, and, hold your socks...it has TWO new expansions! Well over a decade after release and it has new content!

If you've never played it, I highly recommend it. The game is just fantastic, well written and very very deep for the price. It's everything I had wanted D3 to be before blizzard went and destroyed that franchise.

I just found my old disks cleaning up the storage room. Fond memories of the game for sure.

I am about halfway through Immortal Throne, hoping to make it up into Ragnarok this weekend, depending on how much grinding I have to do. Given that the game has gotten two recent expansions, I'm hoping they'll either continue to update it with more content, or perhaps release a new game!

It is fantastic. The new expansions aren't terrible either, admitting that they're from people other than the original developers. If you love Titan Quest, you'll like the expansions.

There's actually THREE expansions: Immortal Throne, Ragnarok, and Atlantis.

It's a great game tho.

Neat! I knew that there was one new expansion, but this is just icing on the cake. Such a fun game.

I am just shocked at how long the game is, I had forgotten a lot of it too, the story is really good and stands out among the rabble of fantasy games out on the market.

It took me well over 214 hours just to make it to Babylon, and I had completely forgot about heading across the silk road to China! Add in Immortal Throne and then Ragnarok and Atlantis, the fun just never stops.

I'm also in love with the diversity of builds, currently melding defense together with the new rune priest and I am having such a blast with it!

I played Titan Quest (with Immortal Throne) to death way back when. I have yet to look into it again. While I'm aware of the new expansions, they're not from Iron Lore (obviously) and that fact had me remain wary. If they're faithful expansions along the same lines as the original game and expansion and don't break the game by altering the mood or upsetting game balance, I guess I'm going to have to have a look after all.

FWIW, Immortal Throne was releases shortly after the original. The other expansions showed up a decade later though.

Personally, if it weren't for Age of Empires 2 existing I'd probably be using Titan Quest as my go-to example of how to do expansions for old games properly. Atlantis is different in that it's not about saving the world (again!) but it's still good.

That's good to hear, thanks.
