Hey guys!

So, I'm thinking of going to the Blood and Glory GT in Derby this November and I wanted to reach out to anyone who's been to their past events. Especially last year. What did you guys think of it? Was it friendly, well organised etc? Because the last one I went to was the London GT fiasco and quite frankly, they're not worth trusting again this year. Considering I would have to spend a lot on travel and what they just pulled off a month ago with the custodes rules (not that I use them anymore).

I went to both Blood & Glory 40k and LGT 40k last year. B&G was a much better event and I had one of my favourite games ever there. B&G terrain was really good, lots of diverse tables, enough space around the tables. A couple of minor gripes were the sound system made it hard to hear what the TOs were saying some of the time and the rules pack wasn't 100% clear in a couple of situations. I also didn't like that they drip fed the missions over many months on their FB page rather than just announcing them all up front.

This year B&G is going to be 2000pts and ITC missions (last year was ETCish style) if that makes a difference.

I am going to the LGT this year. They seem to have solved the terrain, venue and organisational issues of last year so hopefully will be a good one. Hoping to go to B&G again as well, but not sure on that one yet due to other committments.

I went to B&G last year and played 40K and it was a good event. I thought they did a great job and had a nice time, especially as I had just been diagnosed with depression at the time and was in the process of managing it (much better now by the way). Everybody was friendly and approachable and I had five great games whilst generally trying not to implode.

40K was played in the Library at the venue which was quite cool and all of the tables had great terrain and used FAT mats. Only criticism I have about the event was the event pack was a bit confusing as it was a part out of book and part ETC type affair, so some of the scenarios got a bit confusing.

They banned Beta dataslates, Custodes act offended because they can't abuse their Calladius tanks which everyone with a brain knows are currently OP.
