The red one I built and painted in 2000 ... has 4 layers of paint because I didn't understand how my sprayer worked and didn't understand the concept of how to paint yet either.
The next one is a budget coldstar based on an XV8 and what I think is the first metal commander bitz ever available, and then I made an XV8 Commander the same way. I was inspired by the new XV8 kits and seen what can be done and I wondered how much posing you can do with the old kits without tons of converting.
BTW did I overdo it on the bits on the coldstar? I think so though my wife says it looks good.
Also I'm testing how to attach photo's, from the looks of it, I need to do some adjusting. :p (and a different angle on the middlemost suit, cause you can't even see all the "coldstar" elements I added.
Photo 1 - Original XV8 Crisis Suit 2000
Photo 2 - OOP XV8 Kit with OOP Metal Comnmander Bitz - AKA my coldstar conversion
Photo 3 - OOP XV8 Kit with more OOP Metal Commander Bitz
Photo 4 - a better pic (maybe) of model from Photo 3 (before I reposed the front foot)
Photo 5 - another shot of my cold star conversion from the back (before I added the arm spikes)
Thoughts?
