I was wondering what tips people could provide when starting off with Stormcast Eternals. This is my first time with an army that focuses on more powerful units as opposed to large masses (like Slaves or Astra Militarum) and also is more magic-based which is something else I am not used to.

Get ahold of the stormcast side of the soul wars starter, two if you can. Aside from the castigators everything is really potent and fills points quickly relative to dollar amount. The unit sizes are weird but even with the excess models you end up with it's still relatively cheap. And you'll have some models to test paint schemes on.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

I also like the Vanguard starter box, with the Lord Aquilor, Pallidors, Gryph-Hounds, and Hunters. Pretty good deal there too, and gives them some extra movement tricks and speed.

I ended up getting Storm Strike, Tempest of Souls, and the Age of Sigmar 1.0 starter box.
