The list below is intended for use in a 'slow growing' league, where you paint some extra models each month and grow your army accordingly.
So it's not meant to be cutthroat, but not super casual as well.

League starts at 750 points, any feedback is more than welcome!

Can you afford to give your hive tyrant wings? Flying that into your opponents lines and tying up a tank or a strong shooting unit would be game over.
You are very light on synapse too, have you though.
How many points is a Zoanthrope?
Dropping the hormagaunts to try to fit those two things in would really give you an edge.
Maybe splitting the Termagaunts into two units of 15 to hold objectives too?

I think they have enough synapse for this points level. A broodlord provides it with character protection, and the tyrant provides a large bubble of it. To support four non-synapse units, that's plenty.

A zoanthrope is 40 points, but has a minimum squad size of 3. So 120 points, unless you mess around with paying CP for an undersized unit. I wouldn't recommend it.

Wings on the tyrant is a good idea if it can be wrangled into the list. For a kraken tyrant, that means it can fall back, and then both charge and shoot.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I agree with the usefulness of having a Kraken Flyrant, although at this point level it's really hard to find the points to include him (I do plan on 'upgrading' the walkrant to a flyrant in the 1000 point version of this list though). The Walkrant is still not slow at all with a 9" move and the possibility to have a 'Kraken Advance' and still charge through Onslaught.

Although if I eliminate the 12-man Hormagaunt squad, then I do have points enough for the Flyrant. Do you feel the loss of the Hormagaunts is compensated by the additional power of the Flyrant?

Think of 12 hormagaunts as 12 lasguns in rapid fire range, probably wont do much.

Also 30 termagaunts on there own just means you cant manoeuvre them. 3 x 10 man squads or 2 x 15 will let you get on objectives better and tie up multiple squads.

Wings and then maxing out the ripper swarms would be my preference, just because on a small board turn one chargers would be unbeatable.

All good points, so how about this change to the list:
- Removed Hormagaunts
- Made the Tyrant a Flyrant and changed his gear to Scything Talons + Venom Cannon
- Split up the 30 man Termagaunts into two 15 man squads (and dropped the Devourers)
- Added an extra Ripper Swarm

One additional consideration: would it be worth it to give the Flyrant the Miasma Cannon now instead of the Chamelonic Mutation? Offense vs Defense...
