Making a semi-competitive Death Guard list with no poxwalkers for the moment. Any advice is appreciated. Also i plan on collecting around 3k points to interchange units so things don't go stale.

The Big point of this is to use the Blight Haulers/GUO to be an amazing distraction with their stupid survivability/heals and push up the board. Mean while the marines/DP/Malignant slow walk, grabbing objectives while DP/Malignant buff /smite their way forward. The PBC acts as a sort of road block/distraction Carnifex. T2/T3 Terminators drop in and with plasmas pretty much threaten everything on the board, overheating on big things (rerolling ones) and becoming ANOTHER distraction that's not afraid to charge into the lines. Very push forward army, any tips or helpful things are much appreciated!!

Greater demons are horrible this edition, 5+ invun is just not good enough and they get shot off the board turn one especially without wings. He'll just waddle forward and get shot off the board.

Flying princes do way more work!

Question is can i take the daemon prince and still take fleshy abundance?

better than the great unclean one take another daemon prince or plaguebearers and a poxbringer. With nurglings you can easily doing a nurgle´s daemons bataillon and plaguebearers with miasma of pestilence are a really good unit.The great unclean one is a lovely model but they will focus on it and as it lose wounds it hits worse than a daemon prince......just my opinion

Some cultist will be nice aswell......or poxwalkers(i know the idea is without them). For taking objetives. Cheap troops that don´t do anything but they worth it if they take an objetive or two while the rest of the army is distracted fighting

Yeah im dropping the GUO for A DP and might add some plaguebearers , we'll see. I like nurglings, but the games ive seem them played in...they literally die before doing much if the other player gets turn 1. And if i get turn 1 , they are their to hold an objective for like a turn? idk i feel like the DG got really shafted in their book. We need less elite choices and MORE troop/HS choices.

Nurglings are the best. You can make a daemons bataillon easily with them. 2 units of nurgling and 30 plaguebearers. They don´t do nothing, but they are harder than other cheap units thanks to the invulnerable save and the mini feel no pain rule. They die, and they don´t kill almost anything. But our rival must expend extra recourses on them and thats nice for the rest of our army. If they are hidden in a ruin only the mortars and similar weapons will hit them, and meanwhile they are farming victory points if they are enginers in ITC or just been close to an objetive that can became active in ethernal war or having one in maelstrom. Sometimes they died in the first turn and gives easily 1VP for first strike(or whatever is called now) but i think they still worth it

The core units in the DG book aren´t bad. The trouble is that the ones in the daemon book are better. Poxwalkers?For one more point you have plaguebearers with +1S+1T and 5++
Plague marines are good, but expensive. I always take one or two units of 7, but i don´t know yet if they worth the points that they cost. For the same points you can take a foetid blight drone, a plagueburst or for less a helbrute with lasscannon and a missile launcher.
I´m starting to think that the better DG army is one without plaguemarines. Nurgle daemons,characters, cultist and a lot of vehicles(helbrutes,foetid,plagueburst, predator, myphtic)

The best DG lists so far run on average 3 PBC/Derdeo/leviathan, 2-3 DP, 1-2 malignant some times nurglings, sometimes plaguebearers, sometimes throw in a blightspawn, only the TRUELY dedicated run plague marines and i like the models and will paint like 20-30 of em just in case. Also some lists will interchange the dreadnoughts for Bloat drones/PBC's and burn things to the ground.
