I'm not totally sure if this belongs into the Background, YMDC or Modeling subforum, therefore I put it here.

Drifting a bit through the Wiki I found some interesting pictures of the support sentinel, as it seems a light artillery vehicle from the Taros campaign:

Since I'm trying to build a light IG regiment based on light to medium vehicles and lacking the heavy artillery, it would really nicely fit in. From the pictures it looks a bit like at some point there even was an official upgrade kit (?) Therefore my questions:

1. Does anybody know, if there was an official kit around at that time or did you have to kitbash it?
2. If the latter is the case: does anybody recognize the ML in the first picture and from what kit it was? The second looks a lot like the vulture gunships multiple rocket pod I think
3. Was there any mention in the Taros campaign if this was a hasty field conversion or if it is a standard IG vehicle that just did not make it into the codex?
4. Does anybody have a proposition for fair points cost to give a sentinel the abbility to fire a Missile Launcher/Multiple Rocket pod indirectly?

Tbf, the missile launcher is allready rather overpriced.
Gaining los ignoring frag, not krak, only frag would be in my book perfectly fine.

Alternativly equip it with a mortar, some stretching yes, but would achieve the same.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

There was a Forge World resin kit (or rather, two kits that shared most of the components but had different weapons), but like most of their low-selling products, it was discontinued years ago. You might be able to find some online (but beware, recasts probably outnumber real ones by this point), but converting your own would not be too hard, I reckon.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

I was able to get a hold of 1 couple years back, it indeed was a resin upgrade kit: consist of targeting system replacing weapon socket, canopy frame-half side armored and fitted with rocket.

It was an offical FW kit

The ML was a FW piece that is long since discontinued (since they started including the ML in the basic plastic kit), same with the rocket pod that was just a rocket pod off a Valkyrie/Vulture in terms of rules/effect.

The fluff for the Support Sentinel is in IA Volume 3, and they are portrayed as specialized variants for Sentinel scout companies and light forces. It was basically a weapon swapped normal scout sentinel that lacked the Scout rule.

The rules allowed for Indirect fire on the Frag missile (but not Krak), the rocket pod did not have indirect fire, it was ludicrously overpriced (as almost everything IG was in 3E/4E and especially so of anything FW) at 65pts for the ML and 55pts for the Rocket pod. In the current meta, I think the ML sentinel is still rather ridiculously overpriced, so it's hard to assign a cost to indirect fire on something that's already too expensive, but 5pts is probably plenty to deal with any complaints or stick to the IA3 fluff and swap the Scout ability for indirect fire.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Thanks for the clarifications. In this case I will (when I cleared my backlog and get back to building more sentinels) try to get my hands on a multiple rocket pod and see what I can get from there. I don't mind if they are to expensive, as long as they look cool

Might be a bit late Pyro but multiple

I find they're quite large, but should work well, I like the soviet style ones personally. I mean I've seen photos of them on technicals so a sentinel is not out of the question.
