Hello! Today I'm proud to present you the first kickstarter from Axia in collaboration with Heresylab called Citizens of the Old world!

These models are 28mm heroic scale, compatible with the newest miniature games brands set in a fantasy world. Warhammer fantasy, age of sigmar, mordheim, frostgrave, warhammer fantasy roleplay, D&D, all the ones that comes to your mind! We put all our effort in this project to give you models nice and easy to paint, good for gaming and for displays!
We are starting with 10 models but many more can be unlocked! There is no trick with the renders as you can see soon with the first printed model and that's a production model, not a 3d printed one or a special edition!
We have invested in this first mould to show how we work and what kind of quality you are going to receive! Help us funding the production for the rest of the line you will not be disappointed!

Some production copies painted by Axia, to show you the quality of the cast and details! Help us unlocking new stretch goals!

The clear winners are the crazy cat woman and Aladdish. I've pledged with Heresylab three or four times now, so I trust them to deliver a good quality product.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Hmm. Paying the same for the STLs as the premade casts sticks in the craw a little - sure you don't have to pay shipping, but you have to pay for resin and running the printer, and you have to deal with the cleanup and, potentially, failed prints.

This goes double when we're talking about models like this when typically you only need one of each. They're very nice sculpts, but they're mostly novelties not staples you'd be printing multiples of. If the digital all-in was more like 40 euro it would be easier to pull the trigger.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

Have to agree. The STL prices are quite the turn off. Not quite sure the reason for even including them.

Are STL files too expensive?
Well I say yes and no. Based on funding the STL files will drop in price, that means they may go down to 3.75€ each. Now they are 5.45€ each for a high definition file cut for 3D printing.

That's the official answer from the company! Check out the latest update too!

Which is a nonsense, since the same applies to the resin models. In fact, the more models are added via stretch goal, the worse the STL deal looks by comparison, since adding a few extra grams of resin is unlikely to radically increase the postage cost over the base pledge, whereas the cost to print them all rises with every additional STL added.

The reason STL pledges are typically substantially lower than physical ones is the customer is the one who's having to take on the effort/risk of production. As it stands there is zero reason to buy the STLs over the regular physical models unless you're desperate to print them all in a different scale than the default.

Hi! Sorry to hear you are upset, but I am not in charge of prices, only of the art and sculpt!

The sculpts are great but it's hard to justify those prices when most STL files via pateron are around $1 each for a human.

I love the sculpts.
Unfortunately the deal prices for multiples don’t bring the price down enough for me to pledge, one compared to getting four for instance.
Not necessarily too much generally, just for me mid look at £4 a model or so like Studio do etc.
But mainly that’s because for me, I don’t think I have a use for these, would just be to paint.

If I see them at Salute or in a store perhaps I’d grab one though, they do look great.

Danny76 yes I hear you. Unfortunately resin production and model design for a small company are not cheap. At least to deliver high quality and detailed miniatures. This is probably the lowest we can reach.
