I collect Ordo Reductor and i particularly like Calleb Decima and his drive for vengeance (a lot of parallels with bushido) and his fluff after the Isstvan 3 atrocity in the shadow wars.
A friend pointed out the fluff of unit 'UR-025' in the blackstone fortress game released a while back which initiated a serious fluff info-binge.
I quite liked its inclusion from a narrative/immersion perspective and as i read its fluff i started to realize that the perfect hiding place for any other men of iron would be taking refuge aboard a Galeass of the Ordo Reductor.

For those who are not aware of the fluff;
Spoiler:
the Ordo Reductor are a breakaway division of all forge-worlds. Their inductees are known 'wild cards'- those who do not quite fit in and do not play well with others.
When a forge world is discovered, these individals are given a place among the great crusade, following the Imperial Fleet and bound to the study of any foes they may encounter.

Furthermore, whenever the great crusade meets a threat which the Legions Astartes cannot match, the Ordo Reductor is called forth to take the gathered data and apply any force necessary in furtherance of utterly destroying anything which dare to resist the great crusade.
Members of the Ordo Reductor are given their own ships to house, repair and forge anew alongside the great crusade.

In support of this, the members of the Ordo Reductor are given direct sanction from the Emperor as part of their formation and induction to use 'forbidden technology' which can be xenos-based or entirely new designs (photon thruster weapons and the land raider achilles respectively), and i see this as giving a loophole where an Archmagos Reductor could legitimately hide a 'man of iron' on his personal war galeass and never come into scrutiny - they could even allow it to accompany their other forces as a 'data collection unit' just like UR-025s cover story that nobody seems to question.

Would an 'Ordo Reductor Data Collection Unit' be an 'HQ' or 'Elite' choice?
0-1 unit size and special rule 'independent character (unique)' as well perhaps?

You might want to wait for the Dark Mechanicum list in Crusade, since that apparently will have AI themed stuff in it (AI, xenos, and warp were the tech-types mentioned) which could be used to represent something similar.

That would be nice and quite a promising setting for extra fluff - i'd like some stand-in rules for the meantime!
Its 40k profile has most of the stats and rules you'd need for 30k

“Victory is not an abstract concept, it is the equation that sits at the heart of strategy. Victory is the will to expend lives and munitions in attack, overmatching the defenders’reserves of manpower and ordnance. As long as my Iron Warriors are willing to pay any price in pursuit of victory, we shall never be defeated.” - The Primarch Perturabo, Master of the Iron Warriors

Yep. The Heresy 30k forum tends to get pretty good coverage of events curtesy of Pendraig, then this usually gets pasted over on the B@C forum by someone.
