A small group of us is going to start a Necromunda group (using the older set of rules, not the new ones).

I have a pile of about 15 Chaos Cultists from the old Dark Vengeance sets with auto-pistols and CCWs I can use, but obviously that pile has no weapons options and I was thinking about buying one of the new Necromunda boxes so I can have some weapons and an identifiable gang.

My question is, of the current gang boxes, which one has the best weapons options relative to their gangs gear list?

I like the look of the Delaque gang, but the sprue doesnt seem to have many weapons.

Of the House gangs I’d say Van Saar.

All three basic weapons are in the box in multiples (Lasgun, Las Carbine and Suppression Laser). Plus two plasma guns, two combi meltas and two heavy weapons (the rad cannon, which isn’t a terrible weapon but not fantastic).

It also contains all the Pistol variants except the hand flamer.

This may sound like knit picking, but I really dont like models in running poses, and 6 out of 10 of the Van Saar models are in running poses... :-/

Fair enough. You mentioned Delaque, you get some variety with each sprue having a couple of stub guns and auto pistols plus one fletchette Pistol, grav gun and hand flamer. Only one two handed weapon though (shotgun) the rest are sheathed. Nice models though.

Maybe mix it with a GSC-Box? Because of the loadout Orlock would be okay, too (no Laser weapons).

Don't buy van saar! Rad cannon and suppression lasers don't exist in previous versions of Necromunda. In fact, don"t buy any of the new Necromunda boxes. Normally when creating a gang for old Necromunda, you'd want the chaos cultists because they used to be the best (only?) source of those sweet auto weapons and heavy stubber. Since you already got those, look for 40k bits to fill out the rest. Flamer/plasma/melts. Heavy bolter, auto cannon, missile launcher. Chainsword, power weapons. If your foundation is chaos, look for chaos 40k to find best matching style of weapons. Or imperial guard, space marines etc. You don't need much. Any 40k player who have played some years should have plenty extra bits laying around.

Otherwise genestealer cult as mentioned is excellent for bits.
