Is it 4 combi's champion, 3 combi w/chainsword per normal? 64 shots if in rapid fire range?

Tryna get em optimal setup for slaanesh Endless cacophony or w/e the strat is

Chaos bikers come with combi-bolter (2 boltguns w/ RF 1) as base. This yields 4 shots at ranges 1"~24" per bike.

you can add 2 combibolters via special weapons slots in 3 models.
The champion might take another combi weapon.
Each bike is equipped with a combibolter, the two normal ones
At most, you can get 3 bikers with 6 Combibolters.
Btw due to bike, you get rapid fire out the full 24 " so that would be 24 shots without cacophony allready.

Not sure about index but codex doesn't allow combi bolter as sidearm for the rider except for sergeants.

So you have 3x1+1 combi bolters (if taken on sarge) for a unit of 3 models, which yields 16 boltgun shots.

Yep, if I remember correctly the combi-bolter is on the Champion's weaponry list, not the Special weapon list...which is what other models can select from.

Each bike gets the normal 4 shots (due to Rapid Fire 2), the Champion would generate an additional 4 combi-bolter shots. Then each other rider who has a special weapon may be able to fire them depending on range/movement.

Thought each bike had 2x built-in combi's, seems the're 2x boltguns combined to act like a combi.

So i plan on running 9 models in unit:
Champ gets 2x combi= 8 shots
8 regulars get 4 each = 32 shots

40 shots in total, 80 after firing a 2nd time w/ strat

Yeap. That seems about right.

But as someone who runs a lot of bikes, I have to say 80 shots from bolter isn't as impressive as it looks on paper. But it's fun to roll a lot of dice though.

Better use for the strat is for units like havocs.

Bikes have ONE combi-bolter base.

Not two.

So a biker Lord, 1 cp VotLW, 2 cp cacophony. And a da or sorcerer with prescience.

I mean yeah if you want absolute dakka then sure but for that ammount of points you'd get an absurd ammount of other units.
