Hi all... I was originally Sons of Russ on the old Portent and Warseer forums... I think I used the same handle here, but I don’t use that email address anymore so ‘ere we go with an army list as my “first” post.

A few disclaimers first....

I like to pick a few models I like, and the try to add effective units around them to make it viable ....

In this list... those units are... the Dread , Stormhawk, Executioners.

I will be modifying the Stormhawk to look like something that can actually fly, and I loved the look of the Redemptor dread, but figure I’ll just mod it to play as a regular dread since I needed some extra AT punch and felt the Redemptors DCCW was a little unreliable...

With that said... I may consider revising this list and using it with Iron Hands rules ( are we still allowed to paint up an army in whatever scheme we want and call it “ counts as Iron Hands”...? )


I wanted to do a “ Death from Above” element that would be highly mobile and be able to deal with things my advancing phalanx/ castle may have difficulty targeting...

This is meant to be a competitive all comers list... I am looking for comment and critique in regards to its efficiency and ability to hold its own against a variety of armies. I haven’t played in a number of years, besides having read a few Goonhammer / Spikeybitz and BOLS articles, I’m out of touch with the meta. This is by no means a take no prisoners tournament list... but I would love feedback on both if it’s somewhat competitive and what changes would have to be made to be field able in tourneys as well.

TLDR; I’m collecting and painting a schwack of VII Legion, so I don’t mind hearing suggestions on a total revamp of this list to play to IF strengths. I can enjoy using the vehicles on an IH sub list....
