Hello, I have started painting my Iron Warriors but were wondering whats a good base for them. I have earlier just built them and then sprayed with leadbelcher but from what I understand the base paint can change the overall look of the model in the end. If now that is the case (my understanding of this is severally limited at this moment) what would be a good base for Chaos Iron Warriors?

There's nothing wrong with Leadbelcher as a base for IW. Do you want a really bright shiny look or a really dark dingy look? Shade them with Nuln Oil and/or Aggarax to make them look darker and dirtier. Drybrush them with a lighter metal color for shinier look depending on your painting skill.

My biggest issue with Leadbelcher spray is cost. It's $20 American per can, I use a bright Rustoleum aluminium primer now for metals which I shade down with GW contrast paints and shades. I get it at Walmart for $4 a can but I don't know where you'd get that in Europe.
