Hi,

Im painting a darker almost black version of these models :

I do already have most colors(Vallejo Model Color) but there is a couple that I need to fill up and thats Yellow, Blue and Red. I have been using 70-909 Vermilion for red and 70.953 Flat Yellow for Yellow and finally 70839 UltraMarine for blue.

The Vermilion have been nice, the yellow have been a bit bad on covering up like all other yellow paint is. The Ultramarine have hade a strange concictence(texture), its was to thick so it always hade to be blended with alot of watter.

I am mixing most paint I use to get proper shade. Get colors darker is for the most part easy, the hard part is to get them really bright so I tend to buy bright colors.

Should I continue with these paint or switch any of them?

Earth

I would slap on P3 Molten Bronze. But that's probably just because I like it more than reason should allow.

If I were to ask you a hypothetical question, what would you like it to be about?

I have decided to go with something like this :

- Get a cheap airbrush(and a oil separator)
- Airbrush > Add a black primer
- Airbrush > Start with Model Air Gunmetal below and up(zenithal prime)
- Airbrush > Add some Model Air Aluminium from top and down(zenithal prime)
- Airbrush > Add a tiny bit Model Air Silver(zenithal prime)
- Drybrush Model Air Silver
- Mix Vallejo Model Color Turquise and Vallejo Glaze Medium and add it to the entire model
- If needed darken it with some wash
- Drybrush Model Air Silver
- Add other details with coat, wash, drybrush and highlights
- Spray glossy varnish 2-3 layers
- Add matt vanish by hand to areas that should not shine
