Marianne. A series on netflix. Its a French horror series about a writer cursed by a demon spirit. We only have watched the first episode but its quite good if you like horror.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."

Yeah, I watched this last week. I liked it alot, with some minor issues.

In terms of scares, the first two episodes alone are better than anything American Horror Story has ever put out, imo. And its scarier than Haunting of Hill House, but that was a family drama with a ghost story as the backdrop.

Nothing really spoilery below, but just in case:

Spoiler:
But this show is quirky at times, like it tries to be funny or hip at times and just falls flat for me. That may come down to cultural differences, as I tend to have that problem with alot of mainland Europe shows, particularly French shows. I guess something is lost in translation. And I had a hard time developing any sort of emotional connection with the main character. Like she's just a totally self unaware donkey-cave. I actually wanted the witch to win towards the end, and I don't think that was the intention.

That's actually next on my list, after I finish Unbelievable on Netflix.
