Hi all,

It’s been quite a while since I’ve been part of any gaming community or actually played a game of 40k (5th edition I think) and I’m looking forward to coming here for advice and conversation as I dive back in.

I'm in the same boat - I tried to reactivate my old Dakka account but I don't seem to be able to access it anymore.

I played through most of 5th, so all these CP abilities and stuff are kind of surprising. The game actually seems a lot more interesting now, with units generally being more mobile and 'active' as a whole.

I skipped 6th and 7th edition and 8th feels a bit too complicated right now. Some things seem easier - but with the scale dialed up from 1500/1750 points to Forgeworld and Apocalypse units added it feels really weird. I ran a Hierodule in a pick up game last week
