My sons and I are going Trick or Treating for possibly the last time (they are teens now)

We're supposed to get thunderstorms and torrential downpours tonight at peak trick or treating time. Sucks for the kids, their overprotective parents probably won't let them go out in the rain. We get cleaned out every year, this time we might get to keep some candy for ourselves

Ah Lost Boys...best Vampire movie of all time. There is no topping that final line...

Well I flew home from the states today so we had a quiet evening with the family. Our Halloween treats ran out after about 10 visitors. However I did watch lost boys on the plane. Was the first time I saw it so I figured I should. Wasn't what I expected, was sort of weird.

Its been a day.

Started off with two films; The Howling and The Thing, and then had a brake with a game of Castle Ravenloft...

....hmmm. Not much time left so Little Shop of Horrors is next. Bit of time left it'll be either Interview with the Vampire or an Elvira movie. Will have a run through of Nightbreed on the spectrum too.

Took the boys out, one was Darth Vader, the other was Zog. Must of brought home their own body weight in sweets.

Was the first time the littlest one got to go and loved it. There was the odd group of usual chavs out acting like fools but all in all it was mostly small kids having fun.

I’m in the pub, listening to Judge Dread.

I’d share one of his songs, but I get banned.

It was 31 degrees F here today, so my wife still insisted on the littles (6.5, 3.5, and 1.5 approximately) going trick or treating. It was our shortest outing ever, clocking in at less than an hour in the elements. Still fun, though.

Yeah it was pretty cold here too, but our costumes had plenty of layers. My wife and oldest son still complained the whole time about being cold, while I was walking around sweating in my costume.

Still, my sons got more candy this year than in previous years, so it was a good years to end on. We'll see if they wanna go next year, but I doubt it. They'll be 14 & 16 next year, so I imagine they'll stop wanting to go by then.

My 14 year old and her friends went trick or treating and loved it. Of course, they were out on their own as a group of teens, so I am sure that helped with the fun.

I know when I was that age, Halloween was more appropriately called Devil's Night thanks to all the low grade hijinks, misdemeanors, and property felonies we "allegedly" engaged in. I much prefer my kid going Trick or Treating.

I went to our downtown Trunk or Treat dressed as a giant chicken in a business suit with my wife not in costume. The kids I encountered thought it was amazing and hilarious. I felt like a celebrity the way they reacted!

Then the whole family plus hangers-on all settled in back home playing video games and watching movies. Good times.

Had a really fun costume contest at my workplace and we ended it off in the afternoon at an escape room. I lucked out on being on a really good team and we were the only ones to finish before we ran out of time! I went as Red Hood (aka Jason Todd, the second Robin) for the costume contest.

Did the only sensible thing there is.... Went to the cinema.

The flick on was Rocky Horror... A jump the the left.... A step to the right....

Did notice how Rocky looks like Boris though

So we all had a bit of a night then!

Really enjoyed it, and after watching Little shop of Horrors, I discovered an awesome - super awesome - alternative ending! Audrey II takes over the world in Godzilla / War of the Worlds style, accompanied by a rather jolly song!

Its great to know there are those who still dress up and go out for Halloween and spend quality time with friends and family.
