we use axis and allies minis for the ships-pre painted and plastic-

terrain wise brigade miniatures has a lot of scale appropriate naval terrain (sea walls and ports and such) as well as some cool stuff from the Japanese city grid systems geocrapers.

Played it, created my own data sheets as the V1 format was a bit awkward.

its not a bad game, has various issues but it plays in an enjoyable way

Micronaughts is a lot better but requires you to be awake to play it.

VaS is decent, especially with the "Order of Battle" expansion

The last playtest pack was released back in January, with player feedback up to the end of July. Nothing else since.
