As always this is fantastically crafted and acted by all the characters -- hope it wins awards
Loved the penultimate episode and it did an incredable job of wrapping up stuff without too much silliness.
but the last minute - I don't understand!?

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Yeah the ending went straight over my head as well. Maybe the implication is the stable portal lets people travel to other worlds to find loved ones who they've lost in their initial reality, and that would somehow heal the naziworld(in a spiritual sense)? The only thing that makes me think that is Hawthorne deciding to wander through, presumably to try and find a doppleganger of his wife?

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal |

Yeah everything was great for me too up until that very last minute. I guess it's so people can go and find their lost loved ones and move back and forth, but then there's the kind of moral dilemma where Smith wanted to bring his son to his world, and his wife was like "Oh hell no".
I think I would have rather it was something more like an explosion and collapse of the portal, so no one could ever travel back and forth again.
One thing I didn't like was how Tagomi was suddenly dead in the very beginning.. guess the actor didn't want to do it anymore, or got canned or something. Seemed a cheapy way to handle it. I kinda liked him.

Glad its not just us.
Tagomi was sorely missed but Kido was always a great character and I liked they did not compromise with him or Smith. Loved the end of the penultimate episode - would have been an awesome season ender.
Although the BCR was a bit of Dues Ex Machina, I quite liked the way they were done - just far too effective.
Must admit enjoyed Chiltern getting a happy ending - he was a very realistic character.
I figured it was either:
1. All the travellers who had jumped universe coming back
2. Some dead people coming back but not all cos millions opon millions died and when do you go back to etc etc.
3. er..something else.
I did wonder if something Cthuloid or a equally unpleasent universe was about to invade but the ending was just....wierd - have the writters said what it means?

Maybe it would have been cheesy or corney, but I was kinda hoping to see an alt-world frank for juliana to run off with. When he died last season I was expecting him to show up again somehow.
I wouldn't mind seeing more though, like what happens 5 years later. The nazi's are still a thing in Europe and elsewhere. Even though Smith was given complete autonomy, I doubt they'd be happy with how things turned out. Or were they trying to imply that with the old leaders dying off, things were going to change?

The strong implication from his look earlier on the episode and his actions after Smith’s passing was that the guy who took over would reject the Reich and lead a new independent America.
The dimensional refugees threw me. No idea what it meant other than possibly more hope... why they were all spilling out but not talking to anyone was odd. Weird end.
Great series and episode up til that though, and even then it’s fine for not everything to make sense or tie up neatly. We left Juliana’s world with hope on several fronts... quite the change from when we met her.
