I'm trying to start pulling my weight again in a card-based game I'm making, and I want to start the proper design of the cards now. Has anyone used any dedicated card-making programs / apps, or do you just use paint/photoshop/whatever?

Basically, what do you guys use for designing cards?

I use Scribus, and Google Sheets to create a .csv that I have a handy little python script to create all the cards from it in Scribus. Not really a "dedicated card creation program" but it can easily create any sort of PDF that you might need to upload to DriveThru Cards or the like.

I don't have any experience in actual graphics work, so I just use GIMP (a kind of free Photoshop), but apply layers in a pretty old-fashion style. I do think Gamecrafter.com has a built-in system you can use for rapidly creating cards. Also some MTG style builders exist out there.

Hello.
We are making a tabletop miniature wargame. Each unit would have a card where its stats and traits are listed. Was wondering what size should the cards be. We need the cards to be horizontal and around these messures ''89x127mm - 89x146mm''
We want a size that is alredy in use so that its possible for the cards to be printed by inviduals or by us.
Would love to have another opinion and conformation that those sizes are already frequently in use.

Thank you in advance..
Nyan ^^
