As usual, please feel free to vote for as many entries as you like, for any reason, be that the quality of the paintwork, the effort on show, the approach to the theme or anything else that catches your eye. Likewise, you're encouraged to leave some feedback for the entrants if you wish, and many of the images link through to the Dakka gallery if you want to cast a vote there.

Thanks PE for helping Para with the voting! I noticed that under my spoiler tab there are multiple sets of pictures.

My entry has the wrong proof pic, I changed entries a week or two in. Still have the other proof pic though if you need it.

I normally don't put proofs in the final thread anyway, so it's not really an issue, I shouldn't worry about it.

Woosh really tough this time around; so many good entries!

My 3 votes this time, in no particular order:

Chris56 - Wow, that Tidecaster looks money! I really love the limited palette and the subtle OSL that's happening around his face plate.

Modock - Clean as always. I don't know if you take all month to paint these guys or you just cram them in at the last second (your proof pics always happen in the last week) so if it's the latter, I hate you. But I love your work, so you keep doing you!

Power Elephant - I love the cute little diorama; tells such a great story and has such a great mood to it.

Runner-ups (again in no particular order)

Feltmonkey - Great piece; clean. My issue with it is it feels very flat, and could do with more contrast between lights and shadows.

Bellerphon - Very clean work; I love Biel-Tan and I love seeing how your army is growing with each monthly entry.

Midget Gems - Great piece with a fun model! I think this suffers from the same contrast problem that Feltmonkey's Jain Zar has, and could do with more work on the lights and shadows.

Seems like it has been a really busy time over the last few weeks so well done to anyone who managed to finish, that's an achievement in itself

It was really close to try and pick a favorite so many entries that where similar in votability to me (so lots of people go a vote )

Great job stepping in for Para, Power Elephant. Thank you very much.

Thanks for the runner up spot DV8, I do sometimes feel I'm not brave enough with my colours and highlights/shading on them. The last few months i've just be happy to finish any model at all tbh, work is kicking my ass..

This finished quick - I didn't have time to post comments (it takes ages to do) yet!

Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to Power Elephant for stepping in to run the thread this month.

I'll comment on everything now.

Nevelon - Your productivity continues to astound me. These are nice clean models. A couple of very small touches could help take them up a level, for example a second coat of a much brighter red on the ropes and missile tips would make them stand out a bit more as a spot colour. Overall these are very nice though.

Viterbi - That's a really cool model. It's from the Blackstone Fortress expansion, isn't it? I need to get that. I like your colour choices better than the official one.

queen_annes_revenge - Very nice work as always. The skintones on the face are particularly good.

Bellerophon - Super clean and neat, and the vines are excellent.

Captain Brown - Impressive to paint two tanks in a month, especially ones with so many fiddly bits. They're really cool models, and you did a lovely job on them.

DV8 - Really great work, as we've come to expect. You've made a quite muted colour scheme really eyecatching.

Modock - Similar models to DV8, more infinity aren't they? Quiet a different approach, with brighter, lighter highlights and more emphasis on blending, and perhaps slightly less on realism. I couldn't pick which set of models I prefer. Obviously I voted for both.

Yorkright - A tough model, and a tough colour scheme. Making Black Legion black with tons of gold trim seems almost cruel on GW's part. Good job hitting all the gold trim, and the shoulder pad with the red spot colour is good.

Deadshot - Nice clean job, and cool idea to mount him on the back of a dead genestealer. Although the genestealer looks a bit like he's humping that rock.

Pomander Cask - A nice little scene, with the commander ordering the execution of a bug who wandered too close. It made me laugh.

Aestas - Cool little mini. I like how the slime from the base goes over his feet.

Jamie Shred - Nice highlights. I like the magical cloud, and the tentacley monster. I think you should paint the eyes, though. You've obviously got the skill to do it. The first thing people look at when viewing miniatures is the face and eyes.

Midget Gems - Nice job, is this the only christmas themed entry this year? It looks fantastic.

Power Elephant - Really great little diorama. It reminds me of the STALKER games. The tone you've got on the coat is great.

Paradigm - Another great entry. Really colourful and spectacular.

dukeofbeer - Good stuff. I like the guy in the green armour best of the two.

feltmonkey - I spent ages on it, like 30-40 hours. In the run-up to Christmas. I tried to do the nmm well. I've never really got close to mastering it, and I think this ended up as one of my better efforts. I'm happy with the model overall, and really happy with the weapons. I tried to get the contrast in the colours of the hair and ribbons, and leave the armour really clean. Much of the shading work I did on it is pretty subtle airbrush work and armour lining, when I went much further it started to look grubby. I was battling a strange texture from the primer as well. I'm pleased with it, it looks great on my shelf.

Chris56 - My favorite entry this month. I love the use of light and the atmosphere. It really does look like it's at the bottom of the sea, one of those bio-luminescent fish. Amazing work, it really should have won this month, in my opinion.

Vejut - That's really cool. I love the different-coloured patches.

JustALittleOrkish - These are great. I see them as a badass team of crimefighting rodents. The Ratvengers or something. That's my headcanon anyway.

Bschwi1 - A very solid paintjob, neat and clean. Painting one skeleton a month is similar to my own painting speed.

Maharag - Blue and copper are a good choice of colours. Is that contrast paint over metallics?

Jadenim - Nice to see a bit of scenery. It's the small touches like the graffiti and the posters that really lift the whole thing. Great work.

See you next month, all! I am not sure if I'm definitely going to enter yet, as I put so much time into these I maybe could do with a break for a month or two. It would be a shame to break the streak going back a few years of entering every month since my first one but sometimes you need a break for the sake of your mental health. I'm not interested in phoning something in, I always try to do something I've put 100% into. I'll post comments either way though.

Yeah, that was my bad, I actually closed it too soon due to a brain fart.

No worries, it's all good. I'll say that we'll take the announced results for the winners, but any other votes people want to cast before it closes in a couple of days will be counted for the League.

I had already voted, I just hadn't had a chance to write comments, it's all fine. Power Elephant, you've done a great job. It looks like a huge amount of work taking one of these on.

Thanks for the feedback Feltmonkey, and absolutely fair comment on the eyes. I tried painting eyes a while ago and made a right mess so never got back to it but I have progressed a lot since then.

Thanks for the feedback feltmonkey! I believe she's in one of the BSF expansions, but I actually got her from the Combat Arena board game that's sold in Germany and the US.

As ever, well done to everyone who submitted an entry. I continue to be impressed by the range of models you all paint each month. There's some great stuff in there.

Thanks for the feedback Feltmonkey! I have to agree, the posing of the Nid could be better in that regard Maybe I should have picked a less busy month to do such an ambitious project

Sorry for the delay in update the league table I have been and still am) very busy. By the time I got around to it was worth waiting for a double update rather than 2 1 week apart.

Table updated and just 2 more challenges to go looking close at the top
