I've been considering putting together a KO army but have been holding off because over the past year with their past battletome, I was told that they were potato-tier.

Before I start spending money on the new battletome and plastic, can anyone tell me what the KO rules are looking like now? Any indication on if they've got some of their problems fixed? I know the book has only been out a week and the meta still needs time to emerge, but I notice the mini range hasn't expanded really and I don't hear other people talking about it. I'm curious if it's a dud.

From the sounds in the N&R thread, it fixed the problems they had, models got 2W, the fan requests were met, and they’re middle of the road now. Not broken, but not a guaranteed loss just by showing up. They aren’t OB and they aren’t HoS. More like S2D or BoK.

Yep they are a legit for fun book. They likely aren't putting you on a wheaties box for winning a major but they aren't gimptastic either.
