Subject: Wall of Iron: 50PL Guard vs Iron Warriors (Fully painted)
Tried out one of the new CA19 missions with a buddy. Smaller battle, but to be fair I ran out of tanks!
The mission is the Iron Warriors trying to get half of their PL off of the board edge, all while running through the hail of shells coming from the russes. Not an easy task!
We each made a tank an ace, I managed to roll for the first turn, and we were off!
Turn 1
Spoiler:
Everybody goes full throttle and advances, minus the vindicator and the tank ace predator.
The vindicator fires and puts 4 wounds on the lead demolisher, while the plasma dread tries to trundle behind a bunker.
And with a total lack of target priority, the predator takes the leman russ ace down to 1 wound. If only I had shot the same tank!
The leman russes demolishers returns fire and vaporizes the vindicator.
The other two russes target the dreads, and turn them both into scrap piles!
Turn 2
Spoiler:
Iron Warriors clamber out of their rhinos in a desperate assault to silence the fearsome russ firepower.
The tank ace predator finishes off the russ ace and puts a few more wounds on the second demolisher.
A few marines are lost to defensive fire on the way in, and power fists start ripping off armor panels. Even the androids get in on the action and cause 2 wounds!
The russes flee and allow the remainder of their squadron to end the marine threat.
Turn 3
Spoiler:
The androids move in for one last charge, while the rhinos gang up and start ramming the wounded demolisher.
The predators aim is true but it cannot pierce the armor of the second demolisher. It's now up to the cultists...
... but they can't finish the job. One of the rhinos explodes in a ball of flame.
The remaining androids take the full firepower of two leman russes and are wiped out.
Turn 4
Spoiler:
The other rhino flees of the board edge, scoring the first points for the Iron Warriors!
The predator ace manages to finish off the last two demolishers in a stunning display of accuracy and firepower.
Alas, the predator is quickly destroyed in kind by the two remaining russes. Only the squat Warpsmith remains, and he weeps over the destruction of his armored charges while fleeing the field.
Results!
Spoiler:
Fun game, but my poor Iron Warriors! Only managed 4 points. They were pretty jealous of the firepower that was being leveled at them, getting shot at by that many russes is never easy.
Ah well, that Warpsmith will just have to build some new tanks...

Yeah that's what I run them as. I figured as all of the other models are made of metal, being plastic they shouldn't be as strong. Fluff wise my androids are massed produced from aluminum!
