It looks like Adepticon posted their mission pack. I think it looks like a great shift from the meta (at first glance). Nothing about ruins blocking LOS, no magic boxes, no fixed terrain, no choosing secondaries. In fact, it doesn't appear to be using ITC rules in any way shape or form.

Adepticon does not use ITC.

AdeptiCon DOES award ITC points, but does not use ITC missions or other ITC-specific rulings (e.g. first-floor ruins blocking los, 'magic' boxes).

Is this when we should remind the ITC-haters about Adepticon’s lengthy history of publishing the Adepticon FAQ?

In case anyone wants to talk about quantity of non-standard or unofficial rules used in a tournament environment as somehow being bad for that tournament....

Seeing FAQ's and errata's are needed to even PLAY the game not really. Better Q is what are in those FAQ's. Are they anywhere near ITC level of balance alteration? Or just to make sure the damn game works without rule arquments seeing GW hasn't done that fully themselves yet either.

'Lamb is the best meat', 'no, it's beef you fool', 'but pork is king'.

This is what people sound like when they argue ITC vs other mission packs. It is a completely subjective thing and therefore there's literally no point trying to suggest one is better or worse than another.

Adepticon has never used pure ITC iirc. This is nothing new nor does it suggest anything about the quality of ITC missions. Obviously the meta is different. Horde type lists tend to do better (again, iirc). IG are much more competitive I believe.

Yes but the closer it stays to standard 40k the better. Otherwise we end up like ITC where it exaggerates balance issues especially in terms of marines. Outside ITC marines aren't as dominating as in ITC. Much healthier for the game.

Can I ask for your source on this because last I checked marines dominates every different mission pack 40k uses regardless of whether it's ITC, Maelstrom or a custom pack. Admittedly I haven't checked the stats for a month or two but I didn't realise anything had changed.

Blasphemy. It's Chili-Cheese Fritos. Anything else isn't real 'chips'. Just house rules.
