Hello, joining an escalation league for 30k and I cannot find the skitarii rules anywhere for 30k. I know they had titan guard, but I just don’t know which book it’s in. Little help?

Book 7. They're called "Secutarii", your units are Hoplites (spear/shield), Peltasts (rad carbines, their own special guns, or arc rifles), and the Axiarch (the Secutarii HQ character).

Oh, good. Thank you, had absolutely no clue where they landed.

Any tips on how to play them? I been thinking large squads of 20 with rad carbines only, as I have other things to hit tanks in my ordo reductor list.

I tend to put two units of 12-15 Peltasts with galvanic casters in Triarii and use them to pressure midfield objectives.

Oh, fair enough! Don’t have triarii and don’t know if I ever will, but that sounds like a good use of them. I plan on using mine as the main anti-infantry fire considering how they have the old 7th edition double wound thing.

The problem is going to be enemy anti-infantry firepower; one heavy bolter support squad can and will wreck a 20-model squad pretty fast. I'd suggest keeping the galvanic casters if you're going to do Peltasts on foot; the double wound thing is nice but the galvanic caster can reach 24" if you need it to and the indirect-fire blasts let you make better use of terrain.

True, and that is a good point I really didn't think of. problem is I only have 10 galvanic casters and cannot afford to buy more. I think I would just have to trust my other units to try and take down that squad, like a medusa with phosphex or my Thallax. That or not really care about the squishy soliders and go forwards with my tanks to hit the enemy harder.

The casters are really cool and really good.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.
