eh. It's hard to say from set photos like that. Not only are those costumes sometimes not even in the final product, but at this point they are all touched up with lots of cgi. It can look very different in the final product and in motion.

Some of it being filmed in Glasgow, apparently.

Which seems a wee bit unfair, one place being a grim, foreboding crime-ridden wasteland populated by a dizzying array of odd fellows of dubious character, with the other being a fictitious city.

Speculation as to what’s mounted on his gauntlets?
Unsure if armoury bits, or storage pouches? They kinda look like quarrels, but are bendy. Bendy of course could just be because props.

I'd say either quarrels (but I don't see any flight feathers?) or I think I recall seeing similar shaped items used in close combat to stab people and deliver and injection - like combat syringe for fighting. I think it was a Joker story and delivering anti-joker-serum to the infected in battle.

I like that Batmobile quite a bit.
The suit? It's on the left side of "You vs the guy she tells you not to worry about". But, all set photos look pretty jank, so much too soon to say.

I think this is all meant to represent Batman one year into his crime-fighting career. The gear will probably evolve.
But I like that the Batmobile is back to being recognizable as a car.

I like it. The Keaton-mobile is still my favorite, so far.

If its basedon long holloween (i really hope) its like year 3ish?
Hes still going it alone. Harvey dent isnt 2 face yet. The falcones are still a huge threat. The story, which takes place over a year, is kind of an origin for 2 face and its sequel Dark Victory is an origin for Dick Grayson robin and batman realizing he doesnt have to be alone.

From what I've read, it's not a Long Halloween adaptation, but it does take some cues from it. I think Lee Bermejo's artwork is one of the other influences too. The suit has a similar assembled-stitched feel to it. Automatically Appended Next Post:
It's mainly the TV and movie Batmobiles that get outrageous-looking. In the comics, there have been many Batmobiles that appear to be slightly modified street cars. This is a great homage to those cars.

yeah, the movie bat mobiles have gotten sillier and sillier, the tumbler was fun and all but kinda absurd. I mean, if I was placed in charge of designing a Batmobile I'd just make it a black Lamburghini or something, (maybe with some minor bat moffis added to it) and make the builk of what made it special hidden gizmos. More "James Bond car" then tank

It all looks unfinished (including the car), but I expect CGI post processing will deal with most of that.
Truthfully, the cowl looks like the worst part. Everything else looks gritty and worn, but the cowl in the first pic looks like it was filched off the set of the Adam West Batman show and kept mint in box. It looks comical and ridiculous.
