Good evening Warriors

I need your sage advice again if you will.

I recently forgot to take my medication and ended up on forge World website which led me to purchasing two lovely kits I want to add into my 40k dark angels force. I purchased the dark angels legion praetor in cataphactii armour and the contemptor dreadnought. I’m going to use the praetor as a master in cataphratii armour. I’m struggling on what colour scheme to use as I’m sure your aware in 30k they have the black armour and I’d like think they would of be repainted.

Cheers for your time

There isn't any mandatory color. Go for whatever appeals.

Personally, I think the original black looks better than the weird mix of unrelated colors of the modern DA, but then I like armies to be uniform for some odd reason.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

Can't go wrong with the Deathwing Ushbati bone color, as for the metallics I always pick those out with some Balthasaar gold and sometimes ledbelcher. White works really well with anything that looks like feathers, and I personally use Caliban green with some of the more important looking heraldry. Also, a good shade option is going to be Agrax Earthshade.

Paint black and edge highlight with Caliban Green and a finer highlight of Waaagh! Flesh.
