I’m building a dark elf themed CoS army. I plan on having one or two old bolt DE throwers in the list, counts as Celestar Ballistas.

I assumed the following; they must be allies, and can’t have the “Cities of Sigmar” keyword.

Then I checked the allies list; no Stormcast Eternals?

Is that correct? I haven’t had time to play for a year, so my memory of the rules is pretty weak right now. I guess I could run them as helblasters, but I liked the Celestar’s range and rend. And cost. Not surprisingly, even the Stormcast’s artillery is superior.

CoS have it in their allegiance rules that 1 in 4 units can be Stormcast and doesn't count as allies.

This.

The lore reasoning is that most major cities that count themselves amongst the forces of Order have a Stormcast Garrison in them.

Great, thanks!

Is that in the front of the rules section? That sounds familiar, but I couldn’t find it last night.

Page 63 of Cities of Sigmar. 3rd column, last section: Stormkeeps
"1 in every 4 units in a Cities of Sigmar army can be a STORMCAST ETERNALS unit. Those units gain the Cities of Sigmar keyword and the city keyword chosen for your army."

Thanks!

I looked it up last night, found it in the bottom corner. That’s perfect, I’ll go through the Stormcast list and see if I can find any other conversion inspiration.
